Here are the very foundations of manipulating a bodice pattern. Once these basic techniques are masterd (Slash and spread)and the (pivot method) these ways of creating volume can be applied anywhere.

 The bodice has a curved neck dart to give the illusion of a yoke.   Bodice darts have been moved into the neck for fullness and cut on the bias to give a soft silhouette.

 Collar and bodice front are all in one piece and includes the back neck.   So when the garment is made up there is a centre back seam in the collar.
