Here are the very foundations of manipulating a bodice pattern. Once these basic techniques are masterd (Slash and spread)and the (pivot method) these ways of creating volume can be applied anywhere.
Bodice with cap sleeve front and back all in one.
Front, back and cap sleeve all in one piece.
The bodice has a curved neck dart to give the illusion of a yoke.
Bodice darts have been moved into the neck for fullness and cut on the bias to give a soft silhouette.
Collar and bodice front are all in one piece and includes the back neck.
So when the garment is made up there is a centre back seam in the collar.
